Chatham has gone 9-1 against William Campbell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cavaliers will host the Generals at 5:30 p.m. Chatham will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Chatham will bounce into Friday's game after beating Halifax County, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Cavaliers walked away with a 7-2 win over the Comets on Monday.

Corra Liggon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jasmine Smoot, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, William Campbell got themselves on the board against Nelson County on Wednesday, but Nelson County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Governors with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Governors: they've now won five in a row.
Not much got past Peighton Francis, who gave up just six hits to keep Nelson County off the board.
On the hitting side, Arnesia Dews was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Puckette, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
Chatham's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for William Campbell, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Chatham took their win against William Campbell when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
