Basketball Recap: Auburn Wins Going Away Against Louisville

Auburn won the last time they faced Louisville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Lions 59-34. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 22-point advantage.

Brenton Wenzl had an outrageously good game as he shot 88% from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and six boards. Creighton Keeling was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Louisville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keegan Witte, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jase Ostblom, who had nine points.

Auburn has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 54.5 points this season. As for Louisville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Auburn is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Elmwood-Murdock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Louisville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-54 loss against Nebraska City on the 11th.
