The Lincolnton Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to West Lincoln on the road by a decisive 54-40 margin. Lincolnton has struggled against West Lincoln recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Lincolnton had strong showings from Curmiya Tillman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Daphca Dyson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Lincolnton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for West Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincolnton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bunker Hill is on a four-game streak of home losses, Lincolnton a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for West Lincoln, they will head out on the road to face off against Bandys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bandys is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
