Walsh Jesuit had to settle for second on Thursday, but Josh Pierson sure wasn't going down easily. Pierson wasn't messing around, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with two or fewer hits.

Looking ahead, Pierson and Walsh Jesuit will square off against Twinsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Pierson's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Warriors' three-game streak of wins on the road.
