Lawrence County came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Raymond Rangers with a sharp 13-1 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on LaFreddrick Harris, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Hunter Turner was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Harris wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Lawrence County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Cougars are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory got Lawrence County back to even at 8-8. As for Raymond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Lawrence County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-3 win against Richland on the 1st. As for Raymond, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-3 victory against McComb on the 1st.
