Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Middle Creek couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Charlotte Catholic Cougars who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The Charlotte Catholic Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Middle Creek Mustangs' three. Middle Creek's defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Holden Adams, who's now up to 11 this season.

Middle Creek's loss dropped their record down to 24-2-1. As for Charlotte Catholic, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-4-1.

As of now, neither Middle Creek nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
