The Rolla Pirates lost against the Satanta Indians back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rolla fell just short of Satanta by a score of 42-39. Rolla has not had much luck with Satanta recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Satanta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yahaira Puerto, who scored 19 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Puerto has scored at least 25% of Satanta's points. Another player making a difference was Jayline Hernandez, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Rolla's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Satanta, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Rolla will be playing in front of their home fans against Moscow at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Satanta will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Ashland at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th.
