The Greenville Classical Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-43 bruising from Temple Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Greenville Classical Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Temple Christian Academy is ranked 103rd).
Temple Christian Academy was led to victory by Jeramy Trangmar and Ethan Moses. Trangmar scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Moses scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Trangmar is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Holbrook, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Greenville Classical Academy dropped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Temple Christian Academy, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville Classical Academy will take on GREEN Upstate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. GREEN Upstate is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Temple Christian Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Oakwood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Oakwood Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Temple Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
