The Deerfield Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 75-21 win over Moscow on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Deerfield as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Deerfield found their leader in underclassman Colten Musil, who scored 24 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Botello, who scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Deerfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Moscow, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Deerfield will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rolla at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Rylan Williams and Musil. As for Moscow, they will be playing at home against Elkhart at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
