The Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 42-33 win over Cerro Gordo/Bement. This was a revenge game for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], as the team was forced to settle for a 52-47 defeat when these two played last Saturday.
Josie Armstrong was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Kenzie Hales was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Haylei Simpson, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Durbin, who scored six points.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-10.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
