If the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans were riding high off their 40-19 takedown of the Lockland Panthers on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place had to suffer through a rough 57-20 loss at the hands of Georgetown. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place lost against Georgetown in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-22 score last time.
Georgetown found their leader in underclassman Morgan Preston, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. Preston hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Hudson, who scored 9 points.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Georgetown, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place will face off against Cincinnati Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Georgetown, they will head out on the road to face off against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Georgetown in Ohio (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is ranked 165th, while Georgetown is ranked 380th).
