 On the hitting side,  Raionna Smith was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addison Queen, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
Venice's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-5. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Port,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-9.
 Venice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Port, they will venture away from home to  square off against Ida Baker  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.8  runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
