The Tonasket Tigers had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 72-33 victory over Curlew. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-15.
Tonasket's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bradon Prock, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Tompkins, who scored 19 points along with 5 steals.
Despite the defeat, Curlew had strong showings from Logan Thompson, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks, and Logan Ringstad, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Tonasket's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Curlew, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Tonasket will be playing at home against Cashmere at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Curlew, they will head out on the road to face off against Oroville at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
