AA Region 4 recap September 24, 2013
K'hari Lane and Roquan Smith provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Peach County. The connection went for 71 yards, the longest such play in AA Region 4 this season.
Bleckley County scaled the state rankings by moving to 181 from 218 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Royals were able to move up by beating Dodge County 34-13.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Northeast's Davion Anderson and Ta'Korian Denson have proven to be a lethal combination. Anderson has thrown for 332 yards this season, while Denson has 10 catches for 262 yards. Lamar County's Lawrence Austin leads the league in rushing yards with 268.
The Trojans are in second place, while Taylor County is in third place.
Monticello was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in AA Region 4.
