Liam Nicklaus made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Nicklaus was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Chase Decker was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Garret Matznick, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-5.

Morrison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamden White, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Newman Central Catholic pushed their record up to 4-1-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Morrison, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
