High Plains has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles on Friday. High Plains will be strutting in after a victory while the Eagles will be coming in after a loss.
High Plains stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past St. Edward 64-24 at home. The victory was just what High Plains needed coming off of a 68-42 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 41-35 to the Mustangs.
High Plains is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
High Plains and the Eagles were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but the Storm came up empty-handed after a 32-31 defeat. Can High Plains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
