Black Hills put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Hoquiam Grizzlies 14-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  8-0  last Saturday.
 Ella Goheen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. That's the fewest  earned runs  she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kailey Miller, who  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  runs. What's more,  she posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024.  Kiley McMahon was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
Black Hills' record now sits at 3-0. As for Hoquiam,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Black Hills and Montesano will meet in a dog eat dog contest  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Hoquiam, they will head out to  challenge Aberdeen  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Hoquiam has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
