The Hempstead Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harmony School of Discovery 92-44 at home. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for a single point.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hempstead to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamari Idlebird, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Idlebird scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was JaMarion Mickles, who scored 19 points.
Harmony School of Discovery lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alfonso Chaparro, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Chaparro also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Messiah Graves, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Hempstead's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-13. As for Harmony School of Discovery, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Hempstead will head out on the road to challenge Van Vleck at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Van Vleck is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Harmony School of Discovery, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hitchcock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hitchcock has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 521 points over their last six matchups.
