The third road game was the charm for the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past Franklin Road Christian with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 62-47. That's another feather in the cap for Franklin Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Minutemen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Pence, who scored 18 points. Pence is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Walker, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Franklin Christian Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for Franklin Road Christian, their loss ended a 17-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.
Franklin Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Knowledge Academies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Knowledge Academies has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Franklin Road Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Zion Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
