Make it 11 blowout wins for the Northwood Chargers this season. They took their matchup on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-36 victory over Southeast Alamance. Given Northwood's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Southeast Alamance is ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drake Powell, who scored 16 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. Chad Graves was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Northwood pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their 14th straight on the road. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.14 points. As for Southeast Alamance, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Northwood will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jordan-Matthews at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Jordan-Matthews focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 two weeks ago. As for Southeast Alamance, they will head out on the road to square off against Seaforth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
