Bushland is a perfect 4-0 against Childress since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Falcons will square off against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Bushland got the win against Canadian by a conclusive 22-3.
Farryn McKown was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Charley Spinks was incredible, firing off four home runs, 11 RBI, and five runs while going 4-for-4. She has been hot, having posted at least one home run the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chayney Snelson, who scored five runs and stole a base while going 5-for-5.
Bushland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .595. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Childress waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. With that win, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Ansley Parr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Parr was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Felton, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Jaycee Lepe was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Bushland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Childress, their record is now 12-9-1.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bushland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .433. However, it's not like Childress struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bushland took their win against Childress in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
