Softball Recap: First Academy Gets the Win

First Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 12-8. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 8-2 loss.

Hayleigh Collop was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Claire Carlton was another key player, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: First Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

First Academy's record is now 9-5. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

First Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
