The Northeast Dubois Jeeps will be home for the holidays to greet the Bloomfield Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Northeast Dubois came up short against Forest Park and fell 57-44. While losing is never fun, Northeast Dubois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Forest Park is ranked 112th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Aidan Sheetz, who scored seven points. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Grant Goller was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Northeast Dubois struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bloomfield beat White River Valley 49-42 on Saturday.
Northeast Dubois' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bloomfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
