Baseball Recap: Everett Comes Up Short

Everett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Revere Patriots. The Crimson Tide were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Jevaun Berberena made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Everett's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't).

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Revere, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Everett is set to take on their familiar foe Lynn Classical at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Revere will square off against rival Somerville at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
