Even though the Sacred Heart Crusaders have not done well against the Lumberton Panthers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Sacred Heart walked away with a 50-42 win over the Panthers. The win was familiar territory for Sacred Heart who now have four in a row.
It was another big night for Raider Williams, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Eli Bullock, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
The victory got Sacred Heart back to even at 11-11. As for Lumberton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.
Sacred Heart will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in East Marion's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight games. Lumberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
