Glendale is 0-8 against Northern Bedford County since August of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Glendale Vikings will be playing at home against the Northern Bedford County Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Glendale made easy work of Curwensville and carried off a 30-8 win. With Glendale ahead 24-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Glendale found their leader in underclassman Logan Skebeck, who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Glendale's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Landen Mcgarvey and Daniel Williams who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Northern Bedford County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Windber, posting a 35-6 win on the road. 35 seems to be a good number for Northern Bedford County as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Among those leading the charge was Eion Snider, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 176 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Ashton Detterline, who rushed for 32 yards and two touchdowns.
Glendale's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Northern Bedford County, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
Glendale was dealt a bruising 35-6 loss at the hands of Northern Bedford County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Glendale have more luck at home instead of on the road?
