If the St. Francis Fighting Saints were feeling good off their 89-52 takedown of the Princeton Tigers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Francis took a 69-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Becker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyan Blomquist led the charge by scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Weiss, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
St. Francis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Becker, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
St. Francis will head out on the road to face off against the Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Zimmerman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Becker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Minnesota (North Branch is ranked 188th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 195th).
