The Louise Hornets lost against the Yorktown Wildcats back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Louise fell to Yorktown 37-32.
When it comes to explaining why Louise lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kirsten Ochoa. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Grant, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
Louise has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Yorktown, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.
Louise and St. Joseph will face off at 3:30 p.m. on December 28, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Joseph is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. Yorktown will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Needville at 12:30 p.m. on December 28, 2023. Needville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
