Lampeter-Strasburg and Solanco are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Pioneers will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Golden Mules at 4:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
While Lampeter-Strasburg didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Cedar Crest 16-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Natalie Hill made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Lampeter-Strasburg got a massive performance out of Alaina Brenneman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Brenneman has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leah Devlin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Lampeter-Strasburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Solanco had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Barons a 10-0 shutout.
Ava Fedoruk was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara DeFrancesco, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Lampeter-Strasburg pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Solanco, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Both Lampeter-Strasburg and Solanco just can't seem to miss. The Pioneers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Solanco struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lampeter-Strasburg suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Solanco in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Pioneers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
