The Pulaski Red Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Sheboygan North Golden Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pulaski will be strutting in after a victory while Sheboygan North will be coming in after a defeat.
Pulaski is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Green Bay Southwest with a sharp 20-0 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Raiders considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Addison Luebke made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kianna Altendorf, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Molly Molthen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Pulaski kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Green Bay Southwest didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Sheboygan North was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against De Pere, falling 13-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Golden Raiders were not able to get on the board.
Sheboygan North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Bergstrom, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Bergstrom hit this season.
Pulaski now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sheboygan North, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pulaski hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Sheboygan North struggles in that department as they've averaged .417. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pulaski took their victory against Sheboygan North in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Golden Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
