Manti hadn't done well against Carbon recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Manti had a senior duo take command as  June Olsen  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and 15  rebounds and  Cadee Alder  went 5 of 10  on her way to 11 points in addition to six  assists and four  steals. Olsen also set a new season-high mark in  assists with five.
 Manti was working as a unit and  finished the game with 16  assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  assist total in three consecutive  games.
Manti's  victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Carbon, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Manti will venture away from home to  square off against North Sevier  at 4:00  p.m.  on December 28th. As for Carbon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  68-36  loss against South Sevier on the 20th.
