The Shaw Warriors waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 55-50 victory over Simmons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Shaw also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Simmons' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Akiah Prince, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Prince has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shytavia Crawford, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Shaw is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Simmons, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
Shaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Simmons also has no future games currently scheduled.
