Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grace Christian Academy). Everything went their way against the Webb Spartans on Monday as they made off with a 30-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven games by nine runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Hayden Hill, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Izzie Tapp-Milligan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Grace Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Webb only posted a batting average of .167.
The win got Grace Christian Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Webb, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
Grace Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Webb, they will challenge Chattanooga Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
