There's no place like home for the Aquinas Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Chaney by a score of 51-42 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Aquinas also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Paris Everett continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 26 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of K'Lynn Carter, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Chaney saw an underclassman step up: Alyssa Brown dropped a triple-double on 36 points, 14 rebounds, and ten steals. Another player making a difference was Janiah Eiland, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Chaney, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chaney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
