The Moriah Vikings entered their tilt with the AuSable Valley Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Moriah took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 86-34 win over AuSable Valley. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Moriah also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Moriah was led to victory by Cooper Allen and Joe Pelkey. Allen scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Pelkey scored 18 points. The game was Allen's third in a row with at least ten points. Logan Gilbo was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Moriah pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.15 points. As for AuSable Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moriah will challenge Beekmantown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for AuSable Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeastern Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
