The Agoura Chargers lost against the Saugus Centurions back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Agoura took a 69-54 bruising from Saugus. While losing is never fun, Agoura can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Saugus is ranked 92nd).
Despite the loss, Agoura had strong showings from Peter Iba, who scored 11 points, and Elai Segev, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Klopp, who scored ten points.
Agoura has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Saugus, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
Agoura will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Westlake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,237 points over their last 18 matchups. As for Saugus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Castaic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Castaic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
