If the Easton Area Rovers were feeling good off their 61-27 takedown of the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between Easton Area and East Stroudsburg North wasn't particularly close, with Easton Area falling 57-39. Easton Area was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Stroudsburg North apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.
Several Rovers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremy Henry, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hoadley, who scored nine points.
Nate Wilder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Stroudsburg North, scoring 25 points. Wilder hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. Bryceson Dobie was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Easton Area dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for East Stroudsburg North, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Easton Area will head out on the road to face off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pocono Mountain West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pocono Mountain West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully East Stroudsburg North likes a good challenge.
