St. Mark faced Tower Hill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Spartans' defense stepped up to hand the Hillers a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for St. Mark's, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

St. Mark's pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tower Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mark's will take on Ursuline Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tower Hill, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Andrew's at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Andrew's will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tower Hill surely won't give up without a fight.
