The Rejoice Christian Eagles will face off against the Pawhuska Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Pawhuska will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Rejoice Christian extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand Skiatook an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Micah Walker made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Kai Buntin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Maverick Guinn was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Rejoice Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pawhuska, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Yale on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
Like Rejoice Christian, Pawhuska also got a great game from a two-way player: Jadon Spicer. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Spicer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Logan Cass was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Pawhuska: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Vann Wildcat, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Rejoice Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-14. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pawhuska, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rejoice Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .476. However, it's not like Pawhuska struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rejoice Christian skirted past Pawhuska 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2018. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
