Basketball Recap: Keegan Roberts Key Part of a Team Effort in Hawks Win

Howard won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent and things went their way on Monday too. The Howard Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 victory over Varsity Opponent. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly two points.

Howard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keegan Roberts led the charge by putting up 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Roberts has scored at least a third of Howard's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Danzig, who posted 15 points.

Howard is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Howard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Varsity Opponent has already played their next contest (against STEAD), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
