The Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 23) but on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Stern 48-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Los Angeles Leadership Academy.
Adam Hernandez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Blackman, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
The victory got Los Angeles Leadership Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Stern, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Angeles Leadership Academy will take on Smidt Tech at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stern, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gertz-Ressler at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
