Presentation hasn't had much luck against Valley Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Presentation has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Archbishop Mitty hit Presentation with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 14-1 to the Monarchs.
Meanwhile, Valley Christian gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Capuchino as they made off with a 10-3 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.
Not much got past Samantha Guarini, who gave up just seven hits and racked up six Ks to keep Capuchino off the board.
At the plate, Shyla Paredes was a standout: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Sia Marsh, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Valley Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Capuchino didn't launched any.
Valley Christian's record now sits at 14-4. As for Presentation, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Presentation has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .519. However, it's not like Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .454. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Presentation might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
