Marcellus has gone 8-2 against Westhill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will welcome the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Marcellus will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Marcellus is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Altmar-Parish-Williamstown with a sharp 20-2 victory on Tuesday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.
Janzen Long and Kendall LaManche were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Long struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, LaManche tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave Long a new career-high. At bat, Long went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while LaManche went 1-for-4 with two runs.
