The Estrella Sidewinders suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Monday. They took a serious blow against Our Lady of the Sun Academy, falling 72-37. Estrella's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
It was another big night for Joseph Reiss, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 5 assists for Our Lady of the Sun Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reiss has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Webster, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Estrella's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Estrella will head out on the road to square off against Brighton Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, they will be playing at home against Gila Bend at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
