The Oasis Academy Bighorns will face off against the Yerington Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oasis Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Silver Stage with a sharp 14-0 victory. The Bighorns haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Ryder McNabb was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Zachary Budner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joshua Gusewelle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Oasis Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Yerington entered their tilt with Pershing County on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Mustangs.
The team relied heavily on Kyson Shramek, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Valor Angle was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Oasis Academy pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Yerington, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oasis Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Yerington struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Oasis Academy couldn't quite get it done against Yerington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Will Oasis Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
