After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kansas City East Christian Academy, Applewood Christian were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They skirted past Clinton Christian Academy 54-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Applewood Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Clinton Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jared Wisniewski. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. Wisniewski scored a full 48.1% of Clinton Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Hansen, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory got Applewood Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Clinton Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Applewood Christian will take on Blue Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clinton Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Christian Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
