Basketball Recap: Parkville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Parkville hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against the Owings Mills Golden Eagles by a score of 49-39 on Wednesday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

Rommel Marquez had an outrageously good game as he went 5 of 12 on his way to 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrian Alexander, who posted six points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals.

Parkville was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Parkville's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Owings Mills, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Parkville will square off against Lansdowne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Owings Mills, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Owings Mills Golden Eagles duke it out with the Dundalk Owls at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
