The St. Edmund Prep Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Xavier Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, St. Edmund Prep came up short against Fordham Prep and fell 55-43. While losing is never fun, St. Edmund Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Fordham Prep is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, sadly, Xavier is still looking for their first win of the season after four matches. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fordham Prep on Friday.
St. Edmund Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Xavier, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
St. Edmund Prep beat Xavier 53-44 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Edmund Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
