Sebastopol proved they can win big  last Friday (they won by 15) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Noxapater Tigers  8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 Colby Dooley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  walks (zero). He was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
 In other pitching news,  Noah Atkinson tossed a big game,   pitching 5.2 innings while giving up  four earned runs off   seven  hits. What's more,  he gave up only zero  walks, the fewest he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Harrison Peebles, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Connally Gaddis was another key player,  scoring three  runs.
Sebastopol pushed their record up to 8-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Noxapater, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-2.
 Coming up, Sebastopol will square off against Richland at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Richland has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71  runs per game on average), something Sebastopol will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Noxapater, they will challenge Scott Central at 10:00  a.m.  on Wednesday.
