Matthew Hammett, University Christian's leader in total tackles on the season, led the team again on Friday. Hammett picked up 0.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (2.5 for loss), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Hammett and University Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence School at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Christians are 6-1 against the Stallions going back to August of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
